PETRALL

Pakistan Electric Transportation Alliance

Petrall.org is a goal-oriented resource-pool bringing together stakeholders in support of clean transportation in Pakistan.
Petrall is comprised of Entrepreneurs, Inventers, Engineers, Academia, Designers, Enthusiasts and Intellectual Property Rights Experts.

OUR GOALS:

• Elimination of tail-pipe emission and cleaning up of urban and rural areas by electrification of land transport.
• Promotion of local scientific and industrial development for electric transport and manufacturing technologies.
• Identification of business, investment and employment opportunities in this field.
• Export promotion for expertise and products.

How we plan to achieve these goals?

As this, once-in-a-century disruptive technological shift unfolds globally, we recognize that Pakistan has all the resources; human, scientific, industrial and financial to avail the colossal opportunities in developing homegrown solutions.

We can do better than just importing, assembling, promoting and servicing products to the benefit of OEMs from other countries. Therefore our discourse frequently touches on the lessons being learnt from our car industry. Which, despite a significant and growing market, over decades has not delivered on the promise of a homegrown car.

To this end we are acting to weave all the resources together and specifically taking steps in the following directions:

Community building

We reach out to all capable minds that can contribute to our goals and organize interaction to enhance the collaborative potential. Similarly, we reach out to Higher Educational Institutions carrying out research & development in the field.

Unlocking the potential of local product development

Our resource persons are connected with various projects developing electric transportation locally and with OEMs to ensure maximum participation from local industry.

Engagement with regulators

As EV policy evolves in Pakistan we are uniquely poised to engage meaningfully with the decision makers to ensure policy is pro-local business, impartial and supportive of capacity building.
